Celebrant Karen officiates weddings and funerals around Christchurch and further afield around Canterbury.

Karen loves to laugh a lot and share your story with passion. She’s a genuine person and very interested in getting to know the couple or family to craft the right ceremony for you. Karen loves writing stories and loves life.

Tell us about yourself? I trained with the Celebrant School and have a certificate of Celebrant Studies. I’ve officiated weddings and funerals in Christchurch for the past six years, as well as in Queenstown and Wellington.

I love meeting people and writing their story for them. The most important thing about my ceremonies is YOU and what you want. I’m passionate about providing a memorable, personal, fun, and well-organised ceremony. I have a relaxed, open approach and my goal is to offer a stress-free ceremony to express your uniqueness. ‘Your Day, Your Way, Your Memories.”

Tell us about your style? I’m very easy to talk to, very engaging and relaxed.

Best part of any ceremony for you? The vows. The moment the true love of the couple is shown by the words they speak to each other. This can be very intimate and also very funny at times.

Favourite things? I have a great love of reading, music and spending time with friends over a cheeky glass of wine. I adore travelling New Zealand but looking forward to international travel again.
