Married by G is a Christchurch-based celebrant but happy to travel to weddings near or far!
Hi there lovers! Married by G is a celebrant who loves to create a vibrant, upbeat, personal ceremony full of love, laughter and without the fluff! Georgia’s biggest priority is taking the time to really get to know her couples and their unique love stories so that she can create a ceremony that reflects you both perfectly. She can’t wait to hear from you!
Tell us about yourself? Hi there! My name is Georgia. I am 30 years old and I live in Christchurch with my hubby Cody and our busy 17 month old Charlie! My husband and I are self-confessed foodies and are always looking for the best eating (and drinking) spots around. My fav meal of the day is breakfast (and coffee) and I am 100 percent a morning person, which is lucky for me because my little human alarm clock normally has me up nice and early anyway!
Before having Charlie I was a primary school teacher which I absolutely loved. No two days are the same and children are just so much fun! My decision to become a celebrant came about when my husband and I were planning our own wedding and hubs casually mentioned that he thought I would make a great celebrant, fast forward a year and here we are! I am so excited to start marrying couples this wedding season, and creating beautiful bespoke wedding ceremonies. Name a more happier job!
Tell us about your style? Fun, relaxed and vibrant! Any experience with me comes with a positive attitude, lots of laughs and a genuine interest in cultivating a connection. I’m there to pump you up and calm you down leading into (and the entire way through) your wedding ceremony.
Best part of any ceremony for you? When the groom locks eyes on his bride for the first time! Magic!
Favourite things? I’m a bit of a social bunny so any time spent with my family and friends really fills my cup! I absolutely love finding the best foodie spots around and a good tipple to go with! Exercising and being active is a huge part of my life, every morning without fail I go for a walk with my son, coffee in hand, podcast on – bliss!
My husband and I love travelling. We lived overseas for a year (pre pandemic) and got to experience some of the most amazing things! Definitely next on our bucket list is Italy. (Will be a different type of adventure with our mini tag-along now!)
