Tell us about yourself? Kia ora, I’d like to marry you! I’m 29, have a wonderful partner called Chase (we meet on Bumble) and have just had our baby girl Tūī Arataki. I absolutely love the beach and am super lucky to live in a great little community at Waikuku Beach.
I first became a celebrant in 2019 to be able to officiate my older sister’s wedding. I absolutely loved it and want to be able to create many more bespoke ceremonies for more lovely couples.
Previous to new-mum life (and covid!) I was a tour guide, so I’m used to being behind a mic in front of a groups of people and I also know a bunch of random facts about our beautiful country. I’m very passionate about Te Reo Māori! Chase and I run a small side-biz called Happy Hari which was designed to promote the use of this beautiful language more. I’m more than happy to include tikanga or any other cultural traditions in your ceremonies too.
I grew up in a pottery factory also known as The Mill Waikuku. My parents still own it and I just wish they’d turn it into a proper wedding venue! They still make pottery there too. I love helping out and I can definitely thank them for my creative gene; love a wee craft project or DIY.
Tell us about your style? Relaxed, fun and professional.
Best part of any ceremony for you? Definitely when I get to officially announce the couple as married! Everyone claps and cheers, the couple are super excited and the party’s officially started!
Favourite things? Being a new māmā, swimming at the beach (anytime of year!) crafts, DIY, op shopping, and brunch!
